The problem
Grading history and class attendance for judo students are usually kept by the sensei in a personal ledger, with no backup and no way for a student to prove their grading record if they change dojos.
What was built
A dojo management app built on the same academy core as the tennis platform, adapted for grading (kyu/dan) history, attendance tracking, and instructor-managed promotion records.
Notable engineering
- Belt-grading history modeled as an append-only record so a student's progression is portable and disputable-proof
- Shared academy-operations core reused from the tennis academy platform, adapted per sport rather than rebuilt
- Attendance and grading data exportable so students retain their record independent of any one dojo
